The innocence of a child can teach us a lot, so pay attention. Remember the things you wanted when you were young, who or what you wanted to be like or what you wanted others to see in you. The only person that can tell you that you can’t is you…and I don’t know any kid that will truly listen when they are told they aren’t capable of doing something…

Hi, I just want to say your website is a huge inspiration and keeps me going even when I get frustrated and just wanna quit. I would like your opinion on my fitness. I am 5’4 and have always been 120-130 lbs. Before I started working out I would eat once a day a big lunch usually and not eat the rest of the day to keep my 120 figure. Now I am working out 3x a week with a trainer and do cardio on the same days. I eat 6 small meals a day and I have just been maintaining weight not losing weight. I eat 1600 calories a day. Do you have any suggestions for me to lean up? I cannot lean out and it’s getting very frustrating. Even my trainer is frustrated. More cardio? I’ve been playing with what I eat but nothing seems to change. I’m getting stronger but I just really wanna drop that extra fat. Please help..
Hi Tara, I was same weight/height as you and the only way I lost weight (now 110 down from 124) was to work out 1 hour a day, 6 days a week. Swimming hard, pilates, boot camp, dance cardio and weights. I eat between 1200 and 1400 a day. It has been hard, but now I am used to it. I swear the swimming leaned me out the most. Swimming (mixed strokes) is a total body workout, good for a woman’s body. The other stuff is very important for me too, have to do it all!!! Don’t forget vitamins… Good luck!!!
